Wednesday Night At Empire
The Roxy is still closed. Rumors are still flying about when and if we will be able to skate there again. We are cautiously optimistic that it will reopen in the near future, but in the meantime,
Empire Roller Skating Center has graciously extended an invitation for us to skate on Wednesday nights.
We must support them by showing up in larger numbers, in order to make the night economically viable, so that they are not losing money by staying open for us.
Please make an effort to show up this week to show them that it is worthwhile for them to keep the Wednesday sessions alive.

Just to let you know that I am doing an after work party every Wednesday from 6 PM til 10 PM in the East Village. I asked the manager if it would be OK to let some skaters come in and he said yes!
Its a very small space, so it will only suit skaters who can skate in tight spaces. Still we could build a little skate circle going for the winter months. Or you might just want to come hang out and have a dance. Maybe you want to make a video of yourself and need a space to shoot it. Just let me know.
I am there every week. There is also a video screen available to show films, have slide shows, etc.
